pattern: heartstrings top

A fun, flirty piece, the heartstrings top was born out of my desire to make the perfect fitting basic tank top with a few elements that elevate it from being "too basic." The possibilities for fit and color adjustment are endless! I'd love to see a super cropped version, a dress version, a scrap yarn version, maybe a super chunky version, etc. Truly, the sky is the limit with this design. Like all of my patterns, this top is made-to-measure, meaning that you can ensure the perfect fit. This simple pattern is well suited for anyone from a confident beginner to a more advanced crocheter.

Materials:
2 hooks: 1 bigger hook for the panels and 1 hook (1.0mm smaller) for the ties & hearts.
Scissors
2 stitch markers (or something you can mark with, scrap yarn works fine!)
Darning needle
200 grams- 800 grams worsted or fingering weight baby alpaca yarn: I used this yarn (https://www.amazon.com/100-Baby-Alpaca-Yarn-Crocheting/dp/B08SBMW8V5?th=1) in Red Velvet Melange with 5.5mm and 4.5mm hooks.
